Collage
Osteoconductive Scaffold

Highlights

The Collage osteoconductive scaffold is a synthetic bone graft substitute. It is available in putty and strip forms and is engineered to mimic the composition and pore structure of natural human bone.

  • 80% highly purified beta-TCP
    • Provides defect filling volume
    • Allows for radiographic visualization of bone graft placement
    • Contains mineral components necessary for bone growth
  • 20% highly purified type-1 collagen
    • Provides sites for protein binding
    • Biocompatibility and safety of collagen demonstrated in over 10 million implants
    • Rapid and compete absorption of bioactive proteins

Indications

The Collage Putty and Strip osteoconductive scaffold, combined with bone marrow aspirate, are intended for use as a bone void filler to fill voids or gaps of the skeletal system in the extremities, spine, and pelvis not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure.  The Collage Putty and Strip are also indicated for use in the treatment of surgically treated osseous defects or osseous defects created from traumatic injury to the bone.  Following placement in the bony void or gap (defect), the Collage Putty and Strip are resorbed and replaced with bone during the healing process.
