The InSWing™ Interspinous Spacer is a decompression solution developed to relieve pain from lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). This device offers the advantages of a reduced incision size, minimized muscle trauma and preservation of the supraspinous ligament. InSWing offers a less invasive surgical approach, requires minimal or local anesthesia, reduces blood loss, and results in shorter rehabilitation then alternative surgical procedures.
Placed between the spinous processes of the lumbar spine using a unique unilateral approach, innovative InSWing is secured through the deployment of a proprietary double-wing structure resulting in the widening of the spinal canal and decompression of the symptomatic level. Additional stability can be obtained with the application of a band.

The InSWing Interspinous Spacer is indicated to relieve leg and back pain due to symptomatic Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (LSS) from levels L1/L2 to L4/L5 with or without neurogenic intermittent claudication. The device can be used in combination with decompressive procedures providing that the spinous processes remained intact.
Contraindications include but are not limited to:
Alcoholism or drug abuse
Patients unwilling or unable to follow post-operative care instructions
Active local and systemic inflammation conditions
Patient allergy to implant material or to its elements
Patient’s poor general condition that has a high risk of endangering health condition and/or loss of life as a result of surgical procedure
Kyphosis requiring surgical correction
Any circumstances not listed under the heading indications
Other general or patient related contraindications against surgical implant treatment which may exclude potential benefit from implantation.
