Product Description
Guided Growth™ can harness the robust potential of a child's growth plate to correct angular deformities. The eight-Plate® from Orthofix is a minimally invasive, secure implant that allows speedy postoperative recovery with immediate weight bearing. The eight-Plate uses two holes and diverging screws to function like a hinge and avoid growth plate compression. It gently guides the natural growth process and restores limb alignment without the need for invasive osteotomy.

Testimonials
Our four-year-old daughter had surgery for severe bowed legs. She had four eight-Plates inserted above and below her knees. Prior to the surgery we had tried several types of braces to correct her bowing but had no success. Before the surgery, our doctor was able to fit his entire hand between her knees when she stood. They were about four inches apart. It has now been one year since the surgery and her knees now touch! She is so proud and we, as parents, are so pleased. As she says, "My legs don't wobble anymore." We are forever thankful for your product and our doctor for helping our daughter.

Orthopedic surgeons are enamored with fixing and straightening things. We are anxious to correct children's deformities and please parents, but must always consider risk or discomfort caused by our intervention. In the case of crooked extremities, the eight-Plate is an ounce of prevention that is worth a pound of cure because it harnesses the power of the growth plate to gradually and safely correct the problem as the child grows naturally.
